The Planets 360 runs at Dynamic Earth in Edinburgh on Thursday 13, Sunday 16, Thursday 20, and Thursday 27 August 2026. Each performance starts at 8pm inside the venue’s full-dome planetarium.
The production reimagines Gustav Holst’s orchestral suite as a 360-degree film combining music, art, and science.

What To Expect
The show uses the planetarium dome to create a visually led interpretation of Holst’s music. It is an adult Planetarium Lates event rather than a daytime family astronomy show.
Tickets & Entry
Adult tickets are £15 and concessions are £12. Entry is restricted to ages 18 and over, and visitors should arrive before the 8pm start because late admission is not guaranteed.
Location
Dynamic Earth is on Holyrood Road beside Holyrood Park and the Scottish Parliament, a short walk from the lower end of the Royal Mile.
Getting There
Edinburgh Waverley is the nearest main railway station. The venue is also served by city-centre buses, while walking from the Old Town is straightforward.
