Motability Scheme Live Edinburgh 2026

Motability Scheme Live Edinburgh returns to the Royal Highland Centre on Friday 11 and Saturday 12 September 2026, with free entry from 9am to 4pm on both days.

The event brings together cars, Wheelchair Accessible Vehicles, adaptations, scooters, powered wheelchairs, test drives, and Motability Scheme advisers in one place.

What To Expect

More than 60 cars, Wheelchair Accessible Vehicles, and adaptations are due to be displayed, alongside more than 35 scooters and powered wheelchairs. Visitors can speak to vehicle manufacturers, adaptation partners, WAV suppliers, disability organisations, and Motability Scheme specialists.

There are also test drives in standard and adapted cars, with electric vehicles among the options. Visitors can drive where eligible or ride as a passenger with a qualified professional driver.

The organisers provide a quiet space, extra accessible toilets, a High Dependency Unit, ear defenders in limited numbers, and free hire of a limited number of scooters and manual wheelchairs. BSL interpretation can be requested in advance.

Tickets & Entry

Admission is free. The organisers recommend the 2pm to 4pm period for people who would prefer a quieter visit.

Location & Getting There

The event takes place at the Royal Highland Centre beside Edinburgh Airport. Free parking is available for the event, with an accessible shuttle running between the car park and main entrances.

Edinburgh Gateway is the nearest railway station. Tram and bus services also run through the airport and Ingliston area, so check the event travel information before setting off.
