What To Expect

Coburg House is home to painters, printmakers, jewellers, ceramicists, illustrators, photographers, textile artists, sculptors, and designers. The open weekend spreads across the building, with maps available to help visitors move between the floors and find participating studios.

Live music is also planned across the weekend. William Ancell performs jazz, blues, bossa nova, and country on Friday from 6pm to 9pm, while Jeremy Thorp and Nick Gent play swing jazz on Sunday from 1pm to 4pm.

Entry and Practical Information

Entry is free and advance tickets are not normally required. Opening sessions can differ by day, so use the official Open Studios page to confirm the full timetable before travelling.

Location and Getting There

The event is inside Coburg House Art Studios at 15 Coburg Street in Leith. The Shore tram stop is around eight minutes away on foot, and buses serve Commercial Street, Great Junction Street, and Henderson Street.

Our Tips

  • Pick up or download the floor map before exploring the studios.
  • Allow enough time for all four floors rather than treating it as a quick gallery visit.
  • Ask about access before travelling if stairs may be difficult, as the building retains its industrial layout.
