The iconic 80s film is reimagined as a new musical at the Festival Theatre this June, telling the story of Daniel, the new kid in town who finds himself in conflict with the Cobra Kai crew — until Mr Miyagi teaches him that karate is about balance, respect, and inner strength.

What to Expect

This stage musical stays true to the spirit of the original film while adding new songs and dynamic choreography. It follows Daniel as he navigates teenage rivalry and finds mentorship in the wise Mr Miyagi. The production features a Tony Award-winning design team and has been praised for its emotional depth and energetic performances.
