Ahir Shah: Golden runs at Pleasance Courtyard from 6 to 30 August 2026, with the main performance at 7:30pm and selected extra shows during the run. The hour follows Shah’s Edinburgh Comedy Award-winning Ends.
Golden turns to a deliberately broad set of subjects: love, money, family, responsibility, fear, forever and frogs. The result is a new stand-up hour rather than a continuation of Ends.

What To Expect
Golden is built around the things people accumulate, worry about and try to make sense of as life moves on. The official description ranges from love and family to money, responsibility and fear, while the inclusion of frogs suggests Shah has left room for the stranger turns his stand-up can take.
The show arrives with unusually high expectations because Shah’s previous Fringe hour, Ends, won the Edinburgh Comedy Award and later reached Netflix. Golden is a separate show with new material, but that background explains why many of the early 7:30pm performances have sold out.
Pleasance lists several extra performances at different times alongside the main evening run. Some dates still have tickets while others are sold out, so this is one where checking the live performance grid matters before making plans.
