ROLEPLAY runs at Summerhall from 6 to 31 August 2026, with writer and performer Hannah Reilly bringing a one-woman dark comedy about sex, power, online identity, and the economics of attention to Tech Cube Zero.

The story follows a broke feminist podcaster who reinvents herself as a provocative online personality in pursuit of fame, then finds the performance beginning to consume her.

What To Expect

Reilly’s solo show starts with the logic of personal branding and follows it into much darker territory. The central character turns sexuality into content because attention can be monetised, but the show keeps asking who is really in control once an audience, an algorithm, and a public persona all begin pulling in different directions.

Paige Rattray directs, with Francesca Moody Productions and Global Creatures producing. Summerhall lists warnings for nudity, sexual content, sexual violence, strong language, haze, and smoke effects, with an age guideline of 18+.
