What To Expect

HYROX combines repeated running sections with functional workout stations. Typical movements include rowing, sled pushes and pulls, burpee broad jumps, farmer’s carries, sandbag lunges, wall balls, and SkiErg work.

The Meadowbank simulation is not a full international HYROX race. It is a local training event run by Evolve, giving entrants a chance to test pacing, transitions, strength, and stamina in a competitive format before a larger event.

Meadowbank is one of the city’s main sports centres. You can find more local facilities in our Edinburgh sport directory.

Tickets & Entry

Prices start from £20 PAYG. Edinburgh Leisure lists the 20 September event as bookable for both solo and doubles entries, with session details supplied through the booking system.

Book through the official Edinburgh Leisure HYROX Simulation page.

Getting There

Meadowbank Sports Centre is on London Road, east of the city centre. Regular buses run along London Road, and there are cycle and walking routes from central Edinburgh.

Our Tips

  • Check your booking confirmation for your exact session and arrival time.
  • Arrive with enough time to register, warm up, and find the Evolve training area.
  • Choose doubles if you want to share the workload rather than completing the simulation solo.
