The annual Castle of Light: Fire & Ice show returns to Edinburgh Castle this winter, transforming the fortress with immersive projection-mapping, mythical storytelling, and interactive installations.

Running on selected evenings from 22 November 2025 to 5 January 2026, visitors follow a one-hour outdoor trail around the Castle’s ramparts, courtyards, and esplanade. Expect bold visuals, glowing installations, and soundscapes that bring the ancient walls to life.

The theme this year centres on elemental forces—fire, ice, and ancient legends—bringing new surprises for returning guests. Pre-booking is strongly recommended as capacity is limited.
