Founded in 1947, EIFF remains one of the world’s longest-running film festivals and a core part of Edinburgh’s August schedule.

The festival continues to champion bold new cinema and discovery, with curated strands covering international premieres, Scottish showcase titles, short films, animation, documentary, and experimental work.

Across the seven-day programme you’ll find:
