Alzheimer Scotland Annual Conference 2026

Alzheimer Scotland’s Annual Conference 2026 takes place at the Edinburgh International Conference Centre on Friday 18 September, with a full-day programme focused on care, policy, brain health, technology, and dementia research.

The theme is Better Care, Full Stop, with registration from 9am and the main conference programme running from 10am to 4:30pm.

What To Expect

The morning programme looks at better care and policy, with sessions on women’s brain health, dementia pathways, campaigning priorities, and the views of people with lived experience. A lunchtime Big Conversation is chaired by former First Minister Henry McLeish.

The afternoon shifts towards practice and research. Speakers are due to cover childhood dementia, technology, international dementia leadership, clinical trials, and priorities for Scottish brain-health research.

The conference also has a marketplace of information stands and time for networking. The EICC sits close to Haymarket and the West End, with other major city venues listed in our Edinburgh venues directory.

People with dementia and carers can request free tickets by contacting Alzheimer Scotland. Other delegates can buy tickets through the Eventbrite link supplied by the charity.

The EICC is on Morrison Street in Edinburgh’s West End. Haymarket Station is within walking distance, with tram and bus services also available around Haymarket, West End, and Lothian Road.
