The Black Bull

The Black Bull is a busy sports pub at 12 Grassmarket, close to Victoria Street and the Vennel. Its main draw is live sport shown across several screens, with football, rugby, and other major fixtures forming a large part of the weekly schedule.

The food is straightforward pub fare, with burgers, loaded fries, sharing dishes, and a separate children’s menu. Electric darts add another reason to stay beyond a meal or match, while the central bar serves beer, wine, cocktails and spirits.

Walk-ins are welcome, but booking helps for major games and weekend evenings. Under-18s can visit with a responsible adult within the pub’s food-service rules, and dogs are also welcome.
