Exterior of the Auld Hundred pub on Rose Street, Edinburgh

The Auld Hundred

The Auld Hundred is one of Rose Street’s established traditional pubs, with a street-level bar and a small restaurant upstairs. Its name is linked to the building number and the old hymn tune known as the Old Hundredth.

The menu focuses on Scottish pub food and familiar classics, while the drinks list includes cask ale, local beer and more than 100 whiskies. Live music is a regular feature, including local performers and an open-mic session.

The upstairs dining room is reached by a narrow staircase, so anyone with access concerns should contact the venue before visiting. The pub sits between Frederick Street and Hanover Street, a few minutes from Princes Street.

Use the official Auld Hundred website for current menus, bookings, opening hours and event updates.
