Amarone Edinburgh
Amarone Edinburgh is a large modern Italian restaurant in the Capital Building on St Andrew Square, with an open pizza kitchen, central bar and spacious dining room.
It’s particularly handy for groups, pre-theatre meals and city-centre lunches because it sits between George Street, Princes Street, Waverley Station and the tram stop.
Food & Menus
The menu covers familiar Italian restaurant territory: pizza, pasta, risotto, meat and fish dishes, desserts and a broad Italian-led drinks list. Separate vegan, gluten-free and children’s menus are available.
Amarone also runs fixed-price and seasonal menus at different points of the year. These change, so check the live menu before relying on an older price or offer.
Opening Hours
Monday to Thursday and Sunday: 11:30am-10pm. Friday and Saturday: 11:30am-10:15pm.
Our Tips
- It is a useful option for larger groups because the dining room is much bigger than many nearby independents.
- Check the fixed-price menu if you are eating early rather than ordering immediately from the full à la carte.
- St Andrew Square tram stop is almost on the doorstep.
- Ask for the latest dietary menu rather than assuming every pasta or pizza can be adapted.
See the official Amarone Edinburgh page for current menus, bookings and seasonal offers.
