Elegant suite bedroom at Gleneagles Townhouse in Edinburgh

Gleneagles Townhouse

Gleneagles Townhouse brings the Gleneagles name to 39 St Andrew Square in central Edinburgh. The luxury hotel, restaurant, rooftop bar, and members’ club occupy a grand historic building on the east side of the square, a few minutes from Waverley Station and Princes Street.

The bedrooms are divided into Town, House, and Master categories. Features vary between rooms, but guests can expect high ceilings, wood floors, rich fabrics, and views across the square or surrounding New Town.

Master Bedrooms add more space and may include freestanding baths and some of the building’s best outlooks.

The Spence is the hotel’s all-day restaurant, set beneath a large glass dome in the former banking hall. Lamplighters is the rooftop bar, with outdoor seating and views over the city. Both venues attract local diners and drinkers as well as hotel guests, and advance reservations are advisable.

Members’ Spaces and Wellness

House guests receive access to selected members’ areas, including the gym and wellness spaces. Facilities include fitness classes and treatment options, while room service is available around the clock with a reduced overnight menu.

The hotel has accessible rooms and a lift, but requests should be discussed when booking.

St Andrew Square Location

The hotel faces St Andrew Square Garden and is close to George Street, Multrees Walk, St James Quarter, and Edinburgh Bus Station. The tram stop is almost outside.

There’s no hotel car park or valet service, although luggage can be dropped off before using a nearby public car park.

Check the official Gleneagles Townhouse website for room rates, restaurant and rooftop bookings, wellness details, and hotel policies.
