Pirates and Princesses Go Free At Deep Sea World

Pirates and Princesses go free at Deep Sea World, North Queensferry

Deep Sea World in North Queensferry will be awash with buccaneers, brigands, privateers and princesses as part of their Pirates and Princesses celebrations (Saturday, October 11th – Sunday, October 19th).

Pirates and Princesses Week features storytelling sessions where you can learn all about some real life pirates, pirate games and lots more swashbuckling fun.

Any young scallywag dressed up as a fearsome pirate or any dainty young lady dressed up as a princess will get in for free with a fully paying adult*.

Deep Sea World’s Catherine Gemmell said: “There will be adventures aplenty with lost treasure and crewmates to be found, face painting, pirates and princesses stories as well as tug o’ war competitions!

“Our very own Captain Charlie will be on hand to captain the ship and to make sure the voyage runs smoothly!” she added.

Located beneath the world-famous Forth Rail Bridge, Deep Sea World is Scotland’s national aquarium.

With more than 40 naturally-themed displays home to over 2,000 creatures – ranging from seals and seahorses to stingrays and sharks – the aquarium provides an incredible voyage of discovery through the planet’s rivers, lakes and oceans.

At the aquarium’s heart is the incredible 4.5 million litre Underwater Safari home to one of Europe’s largest collections of sharks – including three-metre-long sand tiger sharks – as well as hundreds of other fascinating marine life like rays, crabs and lobsters.

Don’t miss the new sunken submarine display. The wreck of the USS Apogon lies at a depth of 50 metres in Bikini Atoll where she has been transformed into an artificial reef which supports a huge wealth of marine life.

As well as a recreation of the control room of the submarine, the display is home to the venomous species found on the wreck, including lionfish and deadly stonefish.

*KIDS IN FANCY DRESS GO FREE – A child who arrives in full pirate or princess fancy dress during Pirates and Princesses Week (Oct 11th – 19th inc.) will be allowed in for FREE when accompanied by one full-paying adult*

* Not valid with any other offer, promotion, online tickets or family ticket.
