Six by Nico Edinburgh

Six by Nico Edinburgh on Hanover Street serves one core idea: a six-course tasting menu built around a theme, destination or concept, then replaced roughly every six weeks.

That changing format is what makes the restaurant different from a conventional fine-dining menu. Previous themes have ranged from cities and travel to nostalgic concepts, while vegetarian versions are normally available alongside the standard menu.

How The Menu Works

You book into the current six-course experience rather than choosing individual starters and mains. Optional wine or cocktail pairings and extra snacks may be offered alongside it.

As of August 2026, the Hanover Street restaurant is running its Amalfi Coast theme, with a separate Pasta tasting experience also available on selected dates. The themes change frequently, so always check what’s running on the date you want to visit.

The Hanover Street restaurant is open daily from noon until 11pm.

Our Tips

• Check the current theme before booking, because the whole menu changes rather than just a few dishes.
• Allow more time than you would for a normal two-course dinner; this is a six-course format.
• Edinburgh also has a separate Six by Nico West restaurant on Queensferry Street, so check which branch you have booked.
