Nouvelle Vague: A Date With Depeche Mode comes to Queen’s Hall Edinburgh on Saturday 20 March 2027. The performance is listed for 8pm, with venue doors opening at 7pm.
The French project is touring its seventh album, a full collection devoted to reworking Depeche Mode songs through Nouvelle Vague’s bossa nova and Brazilian-influenced style.
Founded by Marc Collin and the late Olivier Libaux in 2003, Nouvelle Vague built its reputation by taking post-punk and new-wave songs in a very different direction. For this record, the group has focused on one catalogue for the first time, with 13 Depeche Mode songs reinterpreted by new voices and Brazilian musicians.

What To Expect
The tour is tied directly to A Date With Depeche Mode, so this is not simply a general greatest-hits set. The album gives songs such as Enjoy the Silence a softer, Brazilian-led treatment while keeping the melodies that made the originals familiar.
The first single from the project features Skye Edwards of Morcheeba and Larry Love of Alabama 3 alongside Nouvelle Vague. That gives a useful idea of the approach: recognisable songs, different voices, and arrangements that sit well in the more intimate Queen’s Hall setting.

Tickets are available from Ticketmaster or the official event page. The Queen’s Hall lists the show at £37.75 when checked, with prices and availability subject to change.
The venue lists box office opening at 6.30pm, doors at 7pm, and the performance at 8pm. The event is over-14s, with under-16s accompanied by an adult aged 18 or over.

Clerk Street is served by frequent buses into the city centre and towards the south of Edinburgh. Waverley station is walkable, but allow around 20 minutes depending on your pace and evening traffic.

- If you know the Depeche Mode originals, expect the arrangements to be deliberately different rather than straight covers.
