Vue Edinburgh Omni Centre

Vue Edinburgh Omni Centre is a 12-screen cinema inside the Omni Centre on Greenside Place, close to the east end of Princes Street. It shows the latest mainstream releases alongside family films, event cinema and selected special screenings.

The cinema has more than 800 seats across its 12 screens, with Lux and Ultra Lux recliner seating throughout. Screenings use 4K projection and Dolby surround sound, with 3D available on selected films.

Cinema Experience at the Omni

Vue’s programme covers new releases as well as concerts, theatre, opera, dance and sporting events shown on the big screen. Family sessions, autism-friendly screenings and accessible performances are also scheduled at selected times.

The Omni Centre has restaurants and other leisure venues in the same complex, which makes it convenient for combining a film with food or drinks before or afterwards.

Location and Transport

The cinema is beside the Edinburgh Playhouse and a short walk from St James Quarter, Waverley station and the York Place tram stop. Numerous bus routes serve Leith Street, York Place and nearby Princes Street.
