Cineworld Edinburgh

Cineworld Edinburgh is a 13-screen multiplex at Fountain Park on Dundee Street. It is one of the city’s largest cinemas and is the main Edinburgh option for premium formats including IMAX, 4DX and ScreenX.

The cinema shows the major new releases alongside selected family films, event cinema, international titles and special screenings. A Starbucks sits within the cinema complex, with restaurants, bowling, mini golf and other leisure venues elsewhere in Fountain Park.

IMAX, 4DX and ScreenX

Cineworld Fountain Park is particularly useful if you want a large-format screening. Its premium options include IMAX, motion-based 4DX and the 270-degree ScreenX format, alongside standard 2D and 3D screenings.

All screens are on one level and have disabled access. The cinema also runs selected subtitled, audio-described, autism-friendly, Cinebabies and Movies for Juniors screenings, depending on the programme.

Getting to Fountain Park

Fountain Park is on Dundee Street, around a ten-minute walk from Haymarket station. Several buses stop nearby, while cinema customers can validate parking for up to four hours in the car park beneath the complex, subject to current terms.
