Tattu Edinburgh
Tattu Edinburgh is a modern Chinese restaurant and bar on West Register Street, close to St Andrew Square and Waverley Station.
The Edinburgh restaurant is designed around the contrast between the city’s Old and New Towns, combining decorative Chinese references with a contemporary dining room. It’s firmly aimed at occasion dining rather than quick casual meals.
Food & Menus
The menu mixes modern takes on Chinese dishes with dim sum, small plates, larger sharing dishes and desserts. Tattu also runs several fixed-menu formats, including all-day and evening set menus, a vegetarian tasting menu, Black Dragon Brunch and an Imperial Sunday Roast.
As of August 2026, the all-day set menu is available Sunday to Friday until 4:45pm and Saturday until 2:45pm, with two courses starting from £29.50. Prices and dishes can change, so use the current menu rather than relying on an older social post.
Opening Hours
Tattu Edinburgh opens from noon until late, seven days a week.
Our Tips
- The daytime set menu is the lower-cost way to try Tattu compared with a full evening order.
- Book ahead for Friday and Saturday evenings, particularly during the festivals and December.
- St Andrew Square tram stop and Waverley Station are both very close.
- If you have dietary requirements, check the dedicated menu options before booking a tasting format.
