Choir concert – SongTribe and American Alumni Choir

  • Napa_Greyfriars_June-23

THE NAPA HIGH SCHOOL ALUMNI CHOIR from the USA is composed of singers who have performed in the School’s choirs across the generations, from the 1960’s through the semester just concluded this June.

The conductor, Travis Rogers, retired from the school last year and this tour will be the very final finishing touch on his thirty-seven year career as the director of the Napa choir.

The Napa High School Choirs have maintained a long tradition of excellence having won international, national, state and local awards. Groups from the school have secured twelve High School Golden State Championships, the most of any high school choir department in California.

The Choir’s tour repertoire consists of primarily sacred works both a cappella and with organ accompaniment, many of the pieces by English composers.

The concert will be shared with SONGTRIBE, Edinburgh’s vibrant performance choir with a big heart and soul! The choir started in October 2015. Under the direction of Ali Burns, they sing a diverse range of songs and styles. From contemporary Indie music, folk, blues, Americana and world music songs to classical pieces and Gospel: Songs that sound right when sung by an acapella choir.

Tickets are free and can be booked via concert@wenstravel.com .
