Save Money By Recycling Old Windows And Doors

Sidey says it’s time to join the recycling revolution and save money on windows and doors.

For the last 10 years Sidey has been working hard to increase the amount of recycling of used windows and doors, and now we are offering homeowners the opportunity to cash in.

Sidey’s Recycling Scheme is similar to a vehicle scrappage scheme. It means customers will get money back for every window or door we replace. There is between £100 and £200 per unit, depending on the frame size for each window and door. Once the value is calculated, this is then taken off the cost of the replacement windows and doors.

How much can I save on my windows and doors?

Here are the amounts that can be saved:

  • There’s between £100 and £200 off for each window replaced, dependent on size. We will be able to give accurate amounts after being assessed by our retail sales consultants
  • There’s an allowance of up to £300 for French or patio doors, dependent on size
  • And if an old conservatory roof is recycled, the allowance is up to £350

Claiming is easy, call now on 01738 634 803 or fill out the online enquiry form on our website. We will arrange for a member of our team of retail sales consultants to measure up. From this they will give a quote for your new replacement windows, doors or conservatory and calculate the savings.

Reduce heating bills

There have been big technical advances in the energy performance of both windows, doors and glass, so you are also likely to make savings on your heating bills. There’s a standard measurement for the energy performance of windows and doors called U-Values. The lower the figure, the bigger potential savings on heating costs. Changing from timber windows to modern PVCu windows could make a significant difference, but there would still be savings even changing windows from 10 years ago.

Choosing Sidey’s modern PVCu windows means there will be fewer cold spots and draughts, and that means rooms will maintain a more consistent temperature too.

Caring for our planet

Sidey cares about the environment and we know that it’s a growing concern for many people in Scotland. We make sure that all old windows and doors go into our recycling process, and that the extra savings on fuel bills from installing windows and doors with better energy performance, reduce the amount of waste all round.

Time to act

Recycling is an important part of Sidey’s commitment to the environment, and that’s why we are now offering homeowners the opportunity to save money while helping to save the planet. There’s no better time to upgrade to Sidey’s stunning windows and doors. There are lots of design and colour options, and you can see them on display at one of three showrooms in Scotland:

Edinburgh: 10b Borthwick View, Pentland Industrial Estate, Loanhead, Edinburgh EH20 9QH
