Porty Festival

Porty Festival is a family-friendly community celebration along Portobello’s seaside promenade, bringing music, arts, food, markets, and local vibes to Edinburgh’s beach suburb.

Over the May Bank Holiday weekend, it features live performances, street entertainment, craft stalls, food trucks, kids’ activities, beach games, and pop-up events that highlight everything Portobello has to offer.

The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, with free access to most activities and a focus on local talent and seaside fun. Think bands on the prom, art installations, open-air sessions, and plenty of spots to enjoy the views across the Firth of Forth. It’s a laid-back way to experience Edinburgh’s coastal side during spring.

This annual event draws locals and visitors for a day or weekend out by the sea, with some ticketed gigs or workshops alongside the free elements.
