The Men’s 10K Edinburgh Route
The course starts on the Royal Mile before passing the Scottish National Gallery and Princes Street Gardens. Runners then head past the Scott Monument, Scottish Parliament, Holyrood Park, and Grassmarket.
The final section heads west for a grandstand finish at Murrayfield Stadium. Because the start and finish are in different parts of Edinburgh, it is worth planning your race-day travel before leaving home.
Entry & Finisher Benefits
Standard entry is listed from £30.25, with charity entry options from £0. The entry package includes chip timing, a personalised event number, on-route hydration, baggage facilities, a finisher’s medal and distance keyring, a technical T-shirt, and a finisher pack.

Getting There
The race starts in the Old Town on the Royal Mile and finishes at Murrayfield. Public transport is the simplest option for most runners, particularly because there is no return to the start line built into the route.
Our Tips
- Plan around a point-to-point race rather than expecting to finish where you started.
- Check the final event information for baggage, start-wave, and road-closure instructions.
- Use the Murrayfield tram stop or nearby bus services for your journey home after the finish.
