Edinburgh’s Christmas returns from 15 November 2025 to 4 January 2026, transforming Princes Street Gardens and George Street into a festive wonderland.
Expect around 70 market stalls, local food and drink, and classic rides like the Big Wheel and Star Flyer.
Over on George Street, the covered ice rink and Polar Ice Bar bring winter magic whatever the weather. Families can meet Santa, post letters, and explore the illuminated tree maze at St Andrew Square.
Entry is free, though rides and skating are ticketed.
Tip: Best visited midweek mornings for smaller crowds.
The festive season kicks off today at the St James Quarter, with their annual Christmas Light Switch On and Parade! From 4pm today, Saturday 8th November, the Galleria will sparkle in style with a celebration parade full of colour, music, dance and performance. ✨
