The Edinburgh International Magic Festival — or MagicFest — celebrates its 16th anniversary this year with a bumper programme of illusions, theatre and wonder. As the only festival of its kind in the UK, it continues to draw world-class magicians and creative performers to venues across the city.
This year’s edition promises spellbinding stage shows, close-up magic, and interactive workshops for all ages.
Highlights include:
- Shape Shifters, a dazzling mix of dance and illusion for families.
- The Secret Room at Lauriston Castle, blending history and mystery.
- The always-popular Christmas Magic Show featuring Edinburgh’s own Kevin Quantum.
Running across multiple venues — from historic halls to intimate theatres — MagicFest brings together the best of modern illusion and traditional trickery.
