The new show is billed as the second part of Count Arthur Strong’s Farewell Tour of the World, with the character returning for what the official site describes, with suitable uncertainty, as one last goodbye.

The Edinburgh date arrives near the end of a long UK run that starts in February 2027 and continues into early June. It is character comedy built around Count Arthur’s muddled stories, misplaced confidence, and habit of losing the thread.

About The Show

This is an all-new stage show rather than a repeat of the earlier farewell tour. The official announcement calls it the second part of that farewell, which is very much in keeping with the Count Arthur character.

If you know the radio and television versions of Count Arthur Strong, expect the same deliberately confused persona carried into a full live theatre performance.

Tickets & Entry

Tickets are available from Ticketmaster. The official tour announcement also confirms the 30 May Edinburgh date.

Location

The Edinburgh International Conference Centre is at 150 Morrison Street in the West End. It is close to Haymarket and within walking distance of Lothian Road.

Getting There

Haymarket Station is the easiest rail stop for the EICC. Tram and bus services also run through Haymarket and the West End, making public transport straightforward from most parts of central Edinburgh.

Our Tips

  • The local performance time is 8pm. Check your ticket for doors and auditorium entry times.
  • Haymarket is usually the simplest rail arrival point, especially if you are travelling in from outside Edinburgh.
  • The show is on a Sunday evening, so check late transport times if you are heading home outside the city after the performance.
