Christmas at the Botanics 2025

Step into an illuminated wonderland as Christmas at the Botanics returns to the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh for the festive season. This much-loved trail winds through the gardens after dark, featuring glittering light tunnels, shimmering trees, and artful projections that bring nature to life.

Running from 20 November to 30 December 2025, the mile-long route takes around 60–90 minutes to explore, with timed entry slots each evening from 4:30 pm to 8:30 pm (last entry). Along the way, you’ll find cosy food huts serving mulled wine, toasted marshmallows, and hot chocolate — a favourite stop for families and date nights alike.
