Underbelly Cowgate

Underbelly Cowgate is one of the best-known Edinburgh Festival Fringe hubs in the Old Town, occupying a network of performance spaces beneath and around the Cowgate.

The venue operates several individual stages during the Fringe, with theatre, comedy, cabaret, music, and other live shows running throughout August. Its spaces include Belly Button, Belly Dancer, Belly Laugh, Big Belly, Iron Belly, and Jelly Belly.

There are also festival bars and the Cow Café on site. The venue is on Cowgate, below the Royal Mile and within walking distance of South Bridge, George IV Bridge, and Edinburgh Waverley.
