Brown's of Leith

Brown’s of Leith is a restored Victorian industrial building on The Shore, now used as a creative and cultural space in Leith.

The former engineering works houses artists’ studios and other creative businesses, while its large Rear Warehouse can also be used for performances and events. During the 2026 Edinburgh Festival Fringe, the warehouse hosts Grid Iron’s site-specific production of Mayflies.

The building sits beside the Water of Leith and is within easy walking distance of the restaurants, bars, and tram stops around The Shore.
