Prepare for Mother’s Day on Sunday 22nd March by booking in for some quality time with your Mum.

Whether a casual Sunday lunch, a sparkling afternoon tea or a special dinner is the order of the day, take inspiration from four of Edinburgh’s leading restaurants and show your Mum just how much she means to you.

1. Afternoon tea at Fingal, Alexandra Dock, Edinburgh, EH6 7DX

Invigorate your taste buds on board Edinburgh’s luxury floating hotel, Fingal, this Mother’s Day. Served in The Lighthouse Bar, Fingal’s decadent afternoon tea sweet treats include lime and coconut verrine; pistachio and white chocolate macaron; and Valrhona Caramelia chocolate tart. Afternoon tea can also be gifted in the form of a voucher to use later in the year and nautical-themed cocktails and overnight stay packages are available, too.

Fingal’s Afternoon Tea is served daily from 12pm-4pm. Prices start at £40 per person for a standard afternoon tea, or £50 per person for a Champagne Afternoon Tea, including a glass (125ml) of Moët & Chandon Champagne.
