Experiments in Space

Earlier this month Edinburgh Science Festival brought British ESA astronaut Tim Peake and NASA astronaut Tim Kopra together for Experiments in Space, a sold-out event held in the Usher Hall and hosted by space journalist and broadcaster Sarah Cruddas.

During the event, the two crew-mates shared stories from their time living and working on the International Space Station (ISS) and answered questions submitted in advance by the audience. If you weren’t able to make it along, you can check out images and videos from the event, including the Q&A session, in our online media gallery.

Vote for Generation Science to receive support from the RBS Skills & Opportunities Fund

Edinburgh Science Festival’s flagship education programme, Generation Science, is the UK’s largest provider of science outreach education. Now in its 26th year, their engaging, fun and memorable STEM shows and workshops reach over 58,000 primary school pupils in Scotland each year.

This month, Generation Science was shortlisted to receive support from the RBS Skills & Opportunities Fund which would allow @EdSciFest to deliver an enhanced programme of activities to schools in disadvantaged communities in Alloa, Maryhill and Drumchapel in 2017… but we need your votes to make it happen!
