Easter Fun at Deep Sea World

Deep Sea World's Diving Easter Bunny (2)-1

Deep Sea World, Scotland’s national aquarium, is inviting visitors to dive in to a fun packed Easter Eggs-travaganza (Saturday, March 25th – Sunday, April 10th).

There will be the chance to take part in Shark Easter Egg Hunts featuring real live shark and ray egg-cases!

See baby sharks wriggling inside their protective ‘mermaids’ purses’, touch real egg cases and discover all about the aquarium’s sharks and rays.

Themed talks and feeding demonstrations will take place daily and there will be special appearances by the aquarium’s very own ‘Dive Bunny’ (March 25th – 28th)

Throughout the Easter weekend the diving bunny – complete with floppy ears and basket – will be taking the plunge and exploring the depths of the aquarium’s 4.5 million litre Underwater Safari for shark and ray egg-cases as well as helping out with fish feeds.

Dive Bunny is just part of the Easter fun frolics taking place at the North Queensferry attraction.

Younger visitors will also be able to take part in a fun Easter Egg Hunt around the aquarium, and a selection of other children’s activities will also be on offer including face painting, plus additional talks and feeding demonstrations.

Running from March 29th- April 10th, ‘Mermaids & Monsters’ sees the welcome return ofDeep Sea World’s very own resident mermaid Ellie who will be making special guest appearances in the rockpool area showing off her new clownfish-coloured tail.

Visitors will be able to enjoy a chat with her and find out more about the magical world beneath the waves.

In between the mermaid shows there will be the opportunity to come face to face with a host of scary ‘monsters’; ranging from ugly wolf fish and razor-toothed piranhas to giant spiders and poison dart frogs plus there will be special guest appearances by a mystery monster costume character.
