Dynamic Earth is Edinburgh’s immersive journey through our planet’s story — a mix of science centre, interactive museum, and cinematic adventure. Sitting at the foot of Arthur’s Seat and next to the Scottish Parliament, it takes you from the Big Bang to the present day using state-of-the-art visuals and hands-on exhibits.

Inside, you’ll experience tropical rainstorms, feel a real iceberg, walk through prehistoric landscapes, and dive into the depths of the ocean. Every gallery is designed to be interactive, making it a favourite for families, school trips, and anyone who loves science presented with a bit of theatre.

The centrepiece is the 360° Planetarium, featuring daily astronomy, space, and nature shows on its full-dome screen — a stunning experience whether you’re into stargazing, climate science, or visual storytelling.

Highlights:

  • Journey through Earth’s history, from the Big Bang to modern ecosystems
  • Meet dinosaurs, explore glaciers, and travel through ancient landscapes
  • Experience the high-tech Planetarium with full-dome cinematic shows
  • Hands-on galleries perfect for children and curious adults alike
