City Art Centre Edinburgh

City Art Centre

City Art Centre is a central Edinburgh gallery on Market Street, directly across from Waverley Station.

The venue shows historic and contemporary Scottish art, photography and touring exhibitions, with a programme that changes through the year.

Why Visit City Art Centre?

City Art Centre is one of the easiest galleries in Edinburgh to reach. It works well as a quick city-centre stop, but some exhibitions are large enough to justify a longer visit.

  • Strong focus on Scottish visual and applied arts
  • Close to Waverley Station, the Royal Mile and Princes Street
  • Regular changing exhibitions
  • Useful option on wet days in the city centre

City Art Centre is at 2 Market Street, Edinburgh EH1 1DE. The main entrance is close to Waverley Station and a short walk from the Royal Mile.
