Bennets Bar
Bennets Bar is a historic pub at 8 Leven Street in Tollcross, almost opposite the King’s Theatre. The location makes it an easy stop before a performance, but the preserved interior is the main reason many people seek it out.
Inside, the bar retains etched and stained glass, decorative tiles, mirrors, dark woodwork and the enclosed jug bar. Historic Environment Scotland describes the interior as outstanding, with features linked to its earlier life as Marshall’s Bar.
Whisky is a major part of the offer, alongside beer, wine and standard pub drinks. The front bar has the older character, while the venue also draws a mixed local, student and theatre crowd.
