Deep Sea World To Launch Education Classes

Rockpools Class at Deep Sea World

Deep Sea World, Scotland’s national aquarium, is launching its new educational classes at a special teacher preview event on Thursday, May 8th.

The North Queensferry aquarium, which welcomes thousands of schoolchildren and other educational groups each year, has put together five new education classes for students of all ages and abilities.

The event will give teachers the opportunity to see first-hand exactly what Deep Sea World has to offer school groups and sample the new educational packages as well as take part in a selection of talks and meet staff.

Deep Sea World’s Visitor Services Manager, Chris Smith, said: “During the preview event we’ll be unveiling our range of new educational classes, which have all been specifically tailored to fit specific educational requirements.

“Throughout the evening we hope to highlight why Deep Sea World is such a fun and educational visit for pupils. Each group will be guided round by an experienced member of the Visitor Services Team who is responsible for the delivery of all the daily talks, feed demonstrations and educational sessions.

“As our way of saying thank you, each attendee will take home a Deep Sea World bag-for-life containing a range of gifts to use in the classroom over the coming season.

“We aim to offer a wide range of enriched cross-curricular learning experiences whilst bringing learning to life,” he added.
