Located two up from the busy Lewbowski’s Bar this is a place not to be missed by the Steak lover. South Africa comes to Edinburgh.
This could be thought of as a Man VS Food place. Rump and Sirloin can be ordered in either Cheeta or Lion size. However please dont be fooled by the Ribeye and T-bone not having the size choice. We visited as a party of 8 and all bar one went for the steak.
Myself it was the Ribeye (on the bone). Please dont think the picture does the size of this steak justice as it does not, Probably the size of a shoe box! The Ribeye was larger than the T-Bone in fact. No jokes, served with about six chunky homemade chips, some onion rings, mushroom and a small side salad. One of the tastiest steaks ever…….I ordered mine rare but I would say it was more like Blue therefore bear that in mind.
The whole menu looks amazing, they have the classic South African dishes and they have classic South African beers………This place is a definate worth a try. I will be returning very very soon.
