Ducks is an exquisite award-winning fine-dining restaurant with comfortable en-suite rooms nestled in the idyllic village of Aberlady in East Lothian. It operates with Kilspindie House and Donalds, an informal bar/bistro.

Ducks is a partner bar of The Scotch Malt Whisky Society – the world’s foremost malt whisky club and an official ‘home from home’ for Society members and whisky lovers alike. Enjoy an extensive range of the Society’s exclusive cask whiskies in the comfortable and relaxed atmosphere of Ducks’ new whisky snug. The Scotch Malt Whisky Society has worked closely with bar staff at Ducks to ensure that they can share the Society’s vast knowledge with their customers, providing an authentic Scotch Malt Whisky Society experience.

Ducks Restaurant offers fine dining with white linen and candles and a mouth-watering seasonal á la carte menu including seafood, steaks, lobster and uses much of the local East Lothian produce. It has a cocktail bar and a lovely outside court yard, as well as an award-winning wine list, which has a world-wide reputation, to accompany the perfect meal. Ducks has also been awarded 2 AA rosettes for its culinary excellence, and with a fantastic menu in place, you can rest assured that this will be a dining experience you won’t forget.

Donalds serves bar/bistro style food along with real ale, 50 to 60 malts and Ducks wine list. Here you can have anything from a cup of soup and a sandwich to a 40 day matured fillet steak from Buccleuch Estates; ideal for a relaxed meal or a pint and a sandwich after a walk on the beach. There are also two outside dining areas for summer dining.

Kilspindie House, the original name of the property, has 23 bedrooms all en-suite with free wifi and flat screen TVs. Longniddry station is only 18 mins by train from the center of Edinburgh with a free bus pick up, making it easy to reach from the bustle of Edinburgh.
