  • The Bad Ass, Rose Street, Edinburgh

This is primarily a bistro/grill more than a pub although The Bad Ass actually looks more like a pub than most pubs do! The Bad Ass Bistro was established in 1999 and got its name from a grumpy old donkey!

It is the heart of Below the Belt Food Co.Ltd with all decisions made here in the underground offices! The Bad Ass is casual dining to suit everyone’s pallets and budgets. Lunch offers a versatile selection of light snacks- sandwiches and wraps to sizzled sausages.

The evening menu offers a mix of dishes amongst others homemade burgers and Highlander Chicken. The chargrill is always sizzling with rumps, ribeyes and homemade burgers. Every Sunday check out the “Toast the Roast” – a succulent roast dinner with all the trimmings with complimentary wine, port or sherry.
