Dynamic Earth was built in 1999, but has a 21st century feel. The exhibits are geared towards children and families, with lots of gimmicks. Being a bit of a child myself, I had fun trying out all the interactive features and enjoyed watching all the children having a great time. I have read that some younger children can be unnerved by the dramatic lighting and sound effects so it’s worth preparing them beforehand. There’s a soft play area, a cafe, and they do parties for children from about £10 per head, which seems good value to me, considering what’s on offer. I personally think they should add more substance/information and cool, interactive features to engage the interest of teenagers and adults and entice us to return, but it’s certainly worth a visit, if only to marvel at all the technology.
They have conference facilities, and can provide parties for adults, plus it’s all wheelchair and pushchair friendly, with an underground car park.
