The Argyle and Cellar Bar
The Argyle and Cellar Bar is a two-level pub and event venue at 15-17 Argyle Place in Marchmont. The street-level bar works as a relaxed local, while the basement provides a separate space for shows and private bookings.
Live music, comedy, spoken word and small festival performances all fit the cellar’s roughly 100-person capacity. The lower room has its own bar and Art Deco touches, while outdoor tables sit beside the upstairs pub.
The drinks selection covers cask ale, craft beer, cider, whisky, gin, and familiar pub choices. Event hours may differ from those at the main bar, particularly during the Edinburgh Festival Fringe.
