Roman Scotland: Life on the Edge of Empire runs at the National Museum of Scotland from 14 November 2026 to 18 April 2027. The exhibition looks at Roman military communities, local resistance, and daily life on the Empire’s northern frontier.
Key objects include two newly conserved altars from the Mithraeum at Inveresk and archaeological finds shown together for the first time.
