Brodkin brings his latest stand-up tour to one of Edinburgh’s biggest theatres after his previous show, Screwed Up, developed into a long UK and international run.

The new show is built around Brodkin’s sharp crowd work and observations about everyday habits, public life, and the things people do that make little sense. He is also well known for the Lee Nelson character and a series of high-profile public stunts, but this tour is straight stand-up under his own name.

What To Expect

This is a large theatre date rather than a small club set. Brodkin’s recent live work mixes prepared material with audience interaction, so the room can shape parts of the night as much as the written jokes.

The tour follows Screwed Up, which was extended several times and ran for around 170 dates. Unleashed is billed as his biggest tour to date, making the Playhouse stop one of the more prominent comedy dates already confirmed for early 2027.

Tickets & Entry

Tickets are available from Ticketmaster or the official event page. Availability and prices can change, so check the live listing before booking.

The published performance time is 7.30pm. If your ticket gives a separate doors time, use the time shown on the ticket for entry rather than assuming the auditorium opens at the performance start.

Location & Getting There

Edinburgh Playhouse is at 18-22 Greenside Place, close to Picardy Place and the St James Quarter. See our Edinburgh Playhouse guide for venue information.

Picardy Place tram stop is a short walk from the theatre, while Edinburgh Waverley is roughly 10 to 15 minutes away on foot. The surrounding streets can be busy after large shows, so allow a little extra time if you are meeting a taxi or connecting to public transport.

Our Tips

  • Book earlier if you want a particular part of the Playhouse rather than simply the cheapest available seat.
  • Check your ticket for the doors time as well as the 7.30pm performance time.
  • Picardy Place is usually the easiest tram stop for the theatre.
