The Hub introduce its summer ‘Street Food’ Menu

Edinburgh’s stunning landmark venue, The Hub, has unveiled its latest summer menu offerings for weddings, events and conferences.

The new menu, designed for a minimum group of 60, offers the perfect combination of street food style with the finishing touches you would expect in one of Edinburgh’s finest restaurants.

The Hub’s head chef, Denis Zominy, created two new menus inspired by traditional street food trucks. The first of the menus, ‘GRAB & GO’, offers a selection of stir fry noodle or rice boxes which include a choice of Thai coconut curry;  sweet chilli chicken; bean sprout with sticky sesame and honey pork; garlic and teriyaki beef; chilli and soy chicken; and Mexican chilli beef. The menu also includes a second option of filled rolls, breads or pizzas, which include a choice of mini beef burgers; crispy southern chicken baguettes; BBQ pulled pork on flat bread; traditional hot dogs; and a selection of pizza slices (margherita, pepperoni, and ham and pineapple).

The second of the menu offerings, ‘STREET FOOD’, includes starters, mains and dessert options. The starters showcase Artisan boards all handmade by local Scottish suppliers, and include a selection of boards with assorted Artisan pies and/or Scotch eggs and Stromboli. Mains include ‘Family service’ meat joint options served with gravy and a selection of seasonal vegetables, or The Hub’s Cajun spiced chicken meal. For dessert, the choices are a delicious Hub-made cake, The Hub’s ‘Eton Mess’, or ‘Knickerbocker Glory’, which gives guests the chance to create their own sundae.

Denis Zominy said: “Street food has been popular around the world for generations but has become increasingly common in the UK over the last few years; and particularly in Edinburgh during the festivals month. It has become a lot more sophisticated recently, so we are very excited to introduce this to our event menu offerings.

Vegetarian and gluten-free options will also be available if booked in advance.

GRAB & GO prices start at £12.50 per head.

STREET FOOD prices start at £32.00 per head including two starters, one main and one dessert option per person.
