As the summer sun shines into the EdSciFest office we’re starting to turn our focus to next year’s Festival.
In 2015 we’ll celebrate the role of the Science Festival as a hub for ideas, information, innovation and inspiration and the halls, galleries, theatres and gardens of Edinburgh will transform into an Ideas Factory from 4-19 April.
We launched our annual Call for Ideas earlier this month so now is the time to get in touch if you have a fascinating idea, concept or event which you think could make a great addition to next year’s Festival.
But if next April seems like a mere glimmer on a distant horizon never fear as there are still a few things worth getting excited about this summer.
As the Commonwealth Games bring their spectacular sports circus to Glasgow, we’re getting in on the action with our fantastic InMotion exhibition taking pride of place in Glasgow Science Centre for the next four weeks.
Closer to home, there’s plenty science going on in Edinburgh as the summer festivals are flying the flag with a range of sensational events. Check out our picks for some top science-y themed activities at the Book Festival and the Fringe.
Need a science fix right now? This Big Ideas Podcast from our friends at Edinburgh University puts science at the heart of podcast and features some speakers from our last Science Festival.
