Edinburgh care home offers free advice
A care home in Edinburgh is inviting the local community to a free event offering support for people considering care for their loved one.
On Wednesday 27th March, from 5pm-6.30pm, the Care UK team at Murrayside, on South Beechwood, will open the home’s doors for its free ‘planning care for the future’ event.
Independent specialists, Penny Wotherspoon from PW & Partners, and Lianne Lodge of Gillespie Macandrew, will be on hand to deliver an informative session to help those caring for a loved one to understand the available options for funding long-term care. They will also offer expert information on legal matters, including wills and power of attorney.
After the event there will be a helpful Q&A session along with the opportunity to meet the friendly care team and take a closer look at the home.
Murrayside home manager, Michelle Reid, said: “Here at Murrayside, we understand that providing advice and guidance can be incredibly helpful for anyone considering the future care of a loved one, which is why we’re thrilled to be hosting this popular event.
“We are delighted to have Penny and Lianne joining us to provide professional guidance in this area, and we hope local people will take the opportunity to benefit from their expertise.”
The new care home, which features 63 ensuite bedrooms, has been specially designed to enable residents to live active and fulfilled lives, while also promoting independence. The care home incorporates space for hobby and leisure activities, and has its own cinema, hair salon and café.
