An Evening of Traditional Scottish Fiddle Music

The Edinburgh Highland Reel & Strathspey Society is pleased to return to The Queen’s Hall to present a varied programme of traditional Scottish Fiddle music.

The evening will feature the orchestra, under the baton of well-known Scottish fiddle player Yla Steven BEM, playing marches, strathspeys, reels, jigs, and hauntingly beautiful slow airs. Fox Covert Primary School Choir will be appearing with the orchestra for the first time, and piper Martin Duncan will start the evening off in the traditional manner.

The host for the evening will be Robert Lovie, commentator at several highland games including the prestigious Braemar Gathering, and a popular compere known for his distinctive Doric humour.
