Celebrate Dia De Los Muertos

  • day-of-the-dead

The Basement Bar, Edinburgh, will be celebrating the popular Mexican holiday Dia De Los Muertos (Day of The Dead) with a night of music, cocktails and tattoos! On Sunday 1st November, customers are invited to finish off their Halloween weekend in the popular bar and Mexican cantina.

There will be a number of devilish drinks on offer to help the living get into the spirit, including The Basement’s very own Me a Zumbie, their take on the classic tiki rum punch. Enjoy live music while sipping on an El Diablo or Tommy’s margarita made with El Jimador tequila. For those who don’t fancy ordering from the extensive cocktail menu, pints of Heineken are priced at just £2.50.

For this evening only The Basement will have its own “tattoo parlour of the dead” where guests will be given the chance to mark the occasion with a unique tattoo by local guest artists from Den of Iniquity tattoo parlour. Four Mexican themed designs, created for the evening are available to choose from, at a special rate of £20.
