Dragons’ Den YogaBellies come to Edinburgh

Dragons Den YogaBelliesThe women’s yoga franchise YogaBellies®, owned by Cheryl MacDonald and her husband Mike, wowed the Dragons’on last weeks episode of Dragons’ Den.

Using their unique yogic techniques, YogaBellies convinced the Dragons’ that they were an organization to be reckoned with and received an offer of £50,000 from Duncan Bannatyne. Now YogaBellies has come to Edinburgh.

The busy mum and author of the recently published Birth ROCKS, started the company after the birth of her son three years ago and she now has over 80 YogaBellies franchisees internationally.

Teachers are given complete training in the unique YogaBellies techniques and run their own socially-conscious YogaBellies® business, offering the classes in their local area.

Rosy Grieco is excited to be part of YogaBellies and to be now offering classes in Edinburgh. Rosy says: “I love being part of YogaBellies and really value what our sessions can bring to women, babies and children. Our classes are about so much more than just exercise, we use authentic yogic techniques in a fun, non-threatening way. The majority of people who come to our classes are completely new to Yoga and we have a really great community of women helping women.”

Dragon Duncan Bannatyne offered them a £50,000 investment for 35% of the company (going down to 20% after two years) admitting “this is a no brainer for me”.

Deborah Meaden also showed a great interest in the company but felt that Duncan had better resources to offer YogaBellies® as a whole. The Bannatyne Group and YogaBellies® are currently deciding which is the best way for the company to progress and grow.

Rosy Grieco is now offering 4 YogaBellies® classes throughout Edinburgh (3 YogaBellies For Pregnancy and a YogaBellies For Mum and Baby) and can be contacted on
